I know it doesn't always feel that way. It often seems like no one understands why you do what you do, including you. And that can be lonely and disheartening.

I create a safe and judgment-free space for you to discover, make sense of, and shift out of underlying pain and stuckness. We won't just talk about it, and we won't just try to convince you to think, feel and act differently. We will give you a new experience of yourself and other people. Whether in individual therapy or couples therapy, together we will break patterns and heal parts of yourself you lost contact with along the way.

Randie Shane, IMFT

Being a Marriage and Family Therapist doesn't just mean that I work with relationships. It means that I understand all of your struggles in context. The way we move through the world is our attempt to adapt to it. When we understand and honor this, the way to shift into new ways of being becomes available to us.

My work is mindfulness- and attachment-based, experiential and trauma-informed. In addition to my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, I have training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Coherence Therapy, both cutting-edge approaches that have the potential to move deeper into clients' experience to transform and break patterns from within.

I come from a theater arts background, and I particularly love to work with creative individuals and Highly Sensitive People, as well as adolescents. I also welcome diversity of sexual orientation, gender and ethnicity. And I am excited to bring a different way of working with individuals and couples to the Cleveland Heights and greater Cleveland area.
